You are both right and wrong. If your wife decides to divorce you (which is what happens over 80% of the time in divorces) the good news is that you will get joint custody. The bad news is that joint custody is means no fathering since mother becomes the custodial parent and dad becomes a visitor under the control of mom. What you want is joint parenting, or 50/50 custody. This is a serious issue since it is effecting entire generations of boys. Just surf Medline for fathers and custody and have plenty of tissues and a wall you can pound nearby.
